“Return to Summer Grove”, 1969 and “Wine from These Grapes”, 1971.
In both episodes Joe Mannix returns to his California hometown where he has
adventures within the Armenian community.

Armenian Echoes part 1
(Director: Hagop Goudsouzian, 2013, 54 minutes, Armenian w/English subtitles)
Hagop Goudsouzian travels to Armenia in search of the soul of Armenian music. Through a series of chance encounters he goes to a concert at the Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall in Yerevan to see the Sayat-Nova Minstrel Song Ensemble and the performances of some of the most renowned Minstrels in Armenia. Goudsouzian weaves a beautiful series showcasing a unique glimpse of Armenian life through its music, the very essence of cultural identity.

You can wear a mask if you are comfortable doing so. The hosts will be wearing masks and prefer fully vaccinated guests.

Armenian Echoes part 2
(Director: Hagop Goudsouzian, 2013, 54 minutes, Armenian w/English subtitles)
The group viewed Part One at our last Cinema Meeting.
Hagop Goudsouzian travels to Armenia in search of the soul of Armenian music. Part two features the Vardanyan Sisters Dance Troupe from Zolakar, Canadian dance student Maria Jelilian, the Choir of The Mother Cathedral of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The folk dancers of Dzoragiugh are also featured, as are Vanadzor's Bogdan G. Hovhannisyan, the famed singing Khatchkar maker, Prof. Alina Pahlevanyan, and Amra Daveyan, duduk soloist.
